Indeed, there are now more than a thousand plugins to choose from. TBH, getting started doesn't require any additional plugins. I found and use many useful ones, but I could live without those. They just add comfort ;-)

I've created the starter kit to share my experience, and also have motivation to maintain my existing system, which prevents me from wasting time trying to make it perfect and distracting me from what matters: taking/making notes :)
