DeveloPassion’s Newsletter #147 — The KISS Principle
Welcome
Another week, another newsletter! I hope that you all had a great one 🤩
This week, I’ve continued focusing my energy on the Black Friday sale. I needed to regularly make noise, as that’s the only way to raise awareness. I’ve also added new articles to the Knowledge Worker Kit.
The end of the year period is always tiresome, and I won’t have much time, but I’ll use whatever I can “steal” wisely!
Alright, let’s gooooo 🚀
The lab 🧪
The Black Friday period is over, so the results are in. I’ve made ~$2.7K this year, mainly from the Obsidian Starter Kit, the Obsidian Starter Course and the Knowledge Worker Kit 🎉. Now, the challenge is keeping the sales going ;-)
This week, I’m going to go all-in on the Knowledge Worker Kit. There’s so much I want to write that it’s somewhat overwhelming. For now, I’m mainly regrouping ideas, and I’ll order/prioritize those as I go along. I’ve already written a good chunk of the Personal Organization part (although there’s a lot more to come). Next up, I’m going to dive into the Personal Knowledge Management part, as many members of the community are interested in that. I want to share tons of ideas about why it’s important and how to approach it in a productive way. As usual, I’ll share insights as I build that part.
New articles
I’ve finally published my article dedicated to Obsidian beginners. In this article, I’ve tried to cover the main elements that a newcomer should know about and focus on (UI, information management, shortcuts, plugins, and more!)
Quotes of the week
- There’s zero point in climbing a mountain if you forget to enjoy the view — Kieran Drew
- Trade money for time, not time for money. You’re going to run out of time first — Naval Ravikant
- The greatest trap is telling yourself that you’ll do something important tomorrow. Procrastination creates negative momentum. The longer you wait, the harder it becomes to start. Telling yourself you’ll do it tomorrow is how dreams die — Shane Parrish
